Pudding Club

THIS FIRST ITERATATION IS COMPLETE

THE SECOND ITERATION a development of this first stage >> Seconds? Pudding Club in 2024

Pudding Club is an opportunity to come together within the local community to share a warm, welcoming social space, as well as sharing ideas, support and, of course, pudding!

Based in Sheppard House in Newent, Wyldwood and Harts Barn worked together to encourage individuals to shape the sessions, including ideas for puddings and enjoy a shared cooking experience.

Bringing people together in a social space, discussing thoughts and ideas about cooking, Pudding Club reached a wide variety of participants, particularly across ages.

Food is a great way of connecting people together, preparing, cooking and sharing ideas, thoughts. Once the puddings were ready, the group had drinks and tried their puddings together. Many pudding recipes, especially the good ones, come with a story behind them which participants enjoyed sharing with one another, and for one of the weeks staff brought a ‘Pudding Quiz’ for everyone to enjoy.

As the weeks went on, the group make up changed and grew. Many participants mentioned puddings that they wanted to cook, some of which we were able to bring to later sessions.

I’m using experiences like this as a stepping stone to get back into the world after having two children.
