About
Chat Back is an intergenerational model devised by Wyldwood Arts.
The engagement model is unique to each community and allows for integration, education and nurturing through guided reminiscence and storytelling. It builds relationships between generations, breaking down stigmas and unifying communities. Older people's voices and stories are heard and young peoples’s creativity is encouraged. A safe and secure space is created for sharing, gaining confidence and trust across the generations.
The results are performances and sharings that incorporate drama, music and movement based on the stories that have been shared - recreating precious memories whilst making new ones.
Chat Back projects ran across Bristol, in North Somerset, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.
