Lydbrook Youth Theatre has been running since January 2016 in the village of Lydbrook, Forest of Dean.

Each term the group learn new skills in drama through playing games and creating performances. We get involved with local community projects and perform at events -  including the Wye Valley River Festival and Coleford Festival of Words. The group were part of our Forest Tales project, meeting older adults from the local area, asking them about their school days and memories.

Drama is a great way to develop children’s confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, team work and sense of community, and it’s a great way to get to know others and have fun!

The group is facilitated by Keziah Benbow, dancer and theatre practitioner and supported by Ella Hale-Smith. Supported with funding from Gloucestershire County Council.

This term we were very excited to be part in the Wye Valley River Festival with The Desperate Men, performing as part of the festival at Lydbrook.
