DragonBird: St Paul's project

We are currently working with DragonBird Theatre on an intergenerational project in St Paul’s.
We are looking to engage audiences with little or no access to theatre. Through this collaboration with DragonBird Theatre, we will provide these audiences access to quality theatrical experiences, and forge sustained relationships between care homes/ local adult community groups and children’s centres. Through building these community connections, the project will support communities to link up, and embed ‘play’ into their interactions.

We currently have monthly sessions happening at Easton Community Centre with Easton Community Children’s Centre and Bristol Community Links.

Volunteer Callout: A Play Then Play! - Dradonbird sessions consist of a short performance and then a supported workshop session to explore the story further using a sensory, imagination-led, exploratory, playful focus, working with the props from the show. A fun, creative environment. We are looking for volunteers to commit some time once a month to join in with supporting these sessions.

Volunteering will be at St. Pauls Children’s Centre once a month from January to March for an hour and a half each time.

DragonBird Theatre will be leading play sessions for 3 and 4 year olds. Staff from Wyldwood Arts will offer support and guidance to volunteers throughout the sessions.
